Hi Yuletide Secret Santa!

I realize this is entirely too early, but due to personal life crisis stuff, I don't know if I'll be online when the assignments get sent out. So I figured I would just jump the gun and post ahead of time instead of posting later and possibly making you miss a few days.

This is my first Yuletide, and I'm really really really excited! Honestly, pretty much anything you write in any of the fandoms I put down would be awesome, and thank you so much!!

This is my fic journal; my actual LJ username is oyceter, but I usually don't link to it from here just in case. I probably have waaay too much stuff written up on assorted series over there.

Please only take the below into consideration if it helps out; if it doesn't, feel free to ignore! It's mostly what I love about each fandom and a few specific requests, but no spoilers for anything.

Nana, by Yazawa Ai - This is my very favorite manga by my very favorite mangaka. I love it so much! I've only read up to vol. 5 right now, but I will be trying to read up to vol. 15 in the next month or so. My absolute favorite thing is the friendship between the two Nanas; I love them both equally. I adore Nana K. and her occasional airheadedness because she really tries and she really wants to get better and she really loves and cares for the people around her, and I love Nana O. and her shell and her attempts to move on past Ren, despite not. And I love how they are together and how Nana O. protects Nana K. and how Nana K. also protects Nana O.

I love how human everyone in the series is, even the evil cheating Shouji, who I should totally hate but don't because I understand why he did it. I love Nobu and his cheerfulness, all the members of BLAST, Junko and her practical-ness and her steady relationship with Kyousuke. I haven't read any Nana fic at all, so really, I would love anything! Gen, het, femslash, the delicate shades between friendship and romance, or just friendship is good too, because I love the friendships and non-romantic relationships in the series so much.

Samurai Champloo - I love Jin and Mugen and Fuu so much! This is where I'm going to be a little nitpicky and say that I don't really like Jin/Mugen. It's not that I don't, it's that whenever I see them together, I feel like Fuu should be there too, because they're forever a trio in my head.

I read gen, het, slash, OT3, whatever, just as long as the trio isn't broken up. I don't particularly mind when one person in the trio goes off (say, a cracktastic Mugen/Yatsuha fic), but it just bugs me when two are together and one is excluded.

My favorite things about the show consist of: how cracktastic it is, how it mixes hip hop and historical detail, Fuu and Jin and Mugen always grumbling about each other but loving each other all the same, quiet cake-munching by the waterside, contemplative nose-picking, Jin's complete dorkiness beneath his cool exterior, Mugen actually caring about people, Fuu's care disguised as grumpiness.

Also, Gay Dutch Guy is awesome.

I've seen the entire series.

Tramps Like Us, by Ogawa Yayoi - OMG this is my newest obsession (aside from, um, all my other obsessions). I actually requested characters for this one, just because my absolute favorite thing is Momo and Sumire and their strange relationship.

So yes, I love Momo and Sumire and their strange relationship. I love one panel in the manga in which Sumire thinks she's alone and can only rely on herself, and then there's a shot of her sleeping in bed, with Momo's hand in the corner of the panel, reaching out to her but never touching her. And I love the moment right after he kisses her and there's a door between them, and he knows she's only inches away, but he can't do anything.

I love Sumire for her prickliness and her loneliness and her stubborn attempts to do everything herself. I love Momo because he's silly and because he loves Sumire just how she is but he's still smart enough to do things his own way. I love the tentative, delicate relationship between the two, of Sumire slowly learning to trust and need, and Momo learning how to dance around her and with her.

So far, I'm up to vol. 3, but if my Amazon order ever comes in (due next week!), I will have read up to vol. 10 in two or three days, given how addicted I am.

Angel Sanctuary, by Yuki Kaori - OMG this is such crack! Such crack! I am actually trying to reread it to figure out what's going on. I'm currently up to vol. 17, but I will be done by next week or so, I'm betting ;).

While I love all the other series for their quiet moments, I love Angel Sanctuary for how giant and gradiose and full of blood and wings and epic wars and reincarnation and pain pain angst pain woe pain it is.

I would absolutely adore Alexiel/Kira, preferably reincarnation fic, because I have a huge reincarnation kink and I totally fell in love with them with the Alexiel-as-doomed-courtesan flashback.

I'd also love Alexiel/Lucifer, or Rosiel and Katan and their impossibly screwed-up relationship, or Raphael and his really cool lieutenant whose name begins with a B who manages to escape by herself and seems to be the only one capable enough to manage him and philandering ways, or Kurai, or the Mad Hatter, or the Mad Hatter/Lucifer, or Kurai/Mad Hatter, or... um, yeah. But yes, if you couldn't tell, my favorite characters are Alexiel (as opposed to Setsuna, who I do like, but I have a Thing for cold, aloof, powerful women), Lucifer, Kira, Kurai, and the Mad Hatter.

But really, pretty much anything set in the world would be AWESOME.
