Wow, I honestly don't remember. I think it was Cain and Riff.

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
I'm guessing Merriweather. Yuki Kaori's sweet female characters tend to sneak up on me and reveal that they've got more backbone than I previously anticipated.

Please don't tell me everyone loves Jezebel Disraeli...

I wouldn't! They would kill me dead! Even if they loved me, as that is how you show your love in Yuki Kaori manga!

I feel compelled to mention I have read the spoilery reviews you and...I think Mely? have done. Yet I don't feel spoiled, because I know the true cracktasticness just cannot be conveyed without actually reading the volumes in question.

And yeah, there is nobody sane in that series. I just knew Riff had to have something going on. He was way too sane, otherwise.

The true cracktasticness really just can't be conveyed. I mean, Yuki Kaori TOLD US exactly what would happen in the latest vol., and it still didn't prepare me!

I think it's just you keep expecting some kind of filter to develop, so that the gleeful wallowing in kinks gets toned down. And then it just doesn't, and it is so awesome.
