And I'm really glad you enjoy the Goku-voice. I've found I adore writing Goku, just because he thinks a bit like me (at least... I think?). Or, well, we both think with our stomachs ;). But he's so lovely and uncomplicated compared to the angstiness of the ikkou, and yet, you know he deliberately cultivates that uncomplicated nature of his as well. He's such a nifty contradiction.
It actually took me a really long time to warm up to Goku in Saiyuki because I was taken in by his portrayal of himself, but now, I adore him so so so so much.
