*snort* Yes to the suicides! It's funny though; it feels like I've read more Japanese drama in which romantic double suicides take place, as opposed to the often politically motivated suicides of the poet-scholars. I feel like there are lots of bureaucratic suicides in historic China, but I can't really confirm that!
